Bishop Carroll is committed to making a Catholic education available to all students and families who seek this opportunity. Tuition is affordable and tuition assistance is available thanks to the generosity of the many alumni donors and friends of BC who believe in our mission. By offering several forms of financial aid and tuition assistance, we can help as many eligible students as possible achieve their goal of obtaining a high-quality, values-based education.
The gross tuition for the 2017-2018 school year is $6,300. However, for the 2016-2017 school year, the parents/guardians of about 180 students applied for financial aid and the average award exceeded $2,300.
With flexible payment plans customized to accommodate individual circumstances, your child could earn a high-quality Catholic education.
The Second Century Scholarship Fund
The Second Century Scholarship Fund supports students with financial need who are enrolled in a Catholic pre-school, elementary school or high school within the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. A FACTS application must be completed to be eligible for Second Century Scholarship funds (see below for details).
Another source of financial aid comes from funds provided by the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese. The family must be a member of a parish in the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese in order to be eligible for a Diocesan Scholarship. A FACTS application must be completed to be eligible for Diocesan Scholarships.
Beginning at $500, Alumni Scholarships from the Bishop Carroll Alumni Association are awarded annually, allowing BC Alumni to help continue the school’s tradition of high-quality Catholic education. A student need not belong to a Diocesan Parish to receive Alumni Scholarships. A FACTS application must be completed to be eligible for Alumni Scholarships.
Through the generosity of various donors, financial aid is available from income derived from endowments established for the benefit of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School.

Obtaining financial aid for a Bishop Carroll education can be done in 3 steps
Step 1: Attend the Open House/Financial Aid Info Night on Wednesday, January 25. The Open House/Financial Aid presentation will be held at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School beginning at 6 p.m., with the Financial Aid presentation held at 7 p.m. Parents of 8th grade students or any students new to Bishop Carroll in attendance will be entered in a special drawing for two $250 scholarships. Both registration information and financial aid information will be distributed, and additional school information and FACTS grant & Aid Assessment application info will be available.
The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Application
In order to ensure a fair and impartial analysis, Bishop Carroll uses the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment system for financial aid application processing. FACTS is the fastest and most direct method of submitting your application, and schools can review your applications electronically within minutes of submission. Qualifications are based on many factors, including but not limited to, household income, family size, number of children in college or Catholic grade and high schools, number of working parents, the value of parents’ assets, household expenses and others.
Step 2: The FACTS submission deadline will be March 15, 2017 for the 2017-2018 school year. Specific instructions on how to apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com will be available at the Open House, and Bishop Carroll will hold one financial aid instructional seminar during February to assist you with the application.
The application process also requires the submission of tax data for 2016. The tax data required includes W-2’s and all tax schedules supporting your 2016 tax return. The tax data MUST be provided to FACTS on or before April 15, 2017.
Step 3: In May, financial aid awards will be mailed. Families who seek additional aid or personalized payment options may contact CEO Jerry Stephens.
