Faith & Service

Faith & Service

Faithful & Giving Hearts

Proverbs 27:2 states, “Let another praise you—not your own mouth; someone else—not your own lips.” You will likely not hear our students boasting about all the good that God graciously allows and inspires them to do, but at the center of student life on Husky Hill are faith and service.

Students attend monthly masses, and have the opportunity to participate as servers, musicians, singers readers and in other ways. Religion classes are incorporated into weekly schedules for all grades, and there are opportunities for students to be involved in the school ministry program. Students are also afforded opportunities to teach CCD at local parishes.

Through service requirements and a strong volunteer culture, students contribute more than 6,000 hours of service to the Church and the local community:

The Works in Progress campus peer-ministry group is comprised of more than 30 students and helps design and minister to the freshmen and sophomores during retreats, and other activities throughout the year.

Students make regular visits to local seniors for holiday celebrations to help with meals, provide songs or entertainment, play games, or simply to check in on their well-being. Classes and clubs raise money for Catholic Charities, breast cancer organizations and the American Heart Association, and conduct clothing and gift drives for the St. Vincent De Paul Society.

This is just a small sampling of all the good work done by our students who, without fanfare, put their faith into action every day. They are always eagerly asking God for more opportunities to serve and to continue to grow their hearts in charity and generosity.
