Students Attend Annual Chrism Mass

Students attended the annual Chrism Mass, as always, to celebrate our unity with the church and our Catholicism.

This annual mass of the Diocese is held during Holy Week where the Bishop blesses the holy oils that will be used throughout the year in the parish churches and each priest recommits himself to his ministry.

Minemyer Family Builds Foundation at Saint Benedict

Achievement seems to run in the family for the Minemyers—and it all began with an education at Saint Benedict School (one of our grade school partners), followed by Bishop Carroll. Anna Marie Minemyer is an alumna of Saint Benedict herself and is the mother of four more alumni and one current student. She speaks proudly of her children, all of whom—except her youngest of course—attended Bishop Carroll Catholic High School.

“I’m very proud of my kids—they’ve done well for themselves,” Anna Marie said.

Drama Club Brings Cinderella to the Stage

The musical adaptation followed the same storyline as Walt Disney’s 1950 film, but is an artistic departure.

Annual Retreat Teaches Mercy to Potential BC Students

On Wednesday, February 24th, 7th and 8th graders planning to attend Bishop Carroll Catholic High School gathered for a retreat organized by the high school's religion department and Student Ambassadors.

For over a decade, Bishop Carroll has hosted a Lenten retreat covering an important religious topic in an academic, spiritual, and social setting. The theme of this year’s retreat was selected from Pope Francis's declaration that 2016 is a Jubilee Year of Mercy.
