Drama Club Presents Hello, Dolly

This spring, the Cafetorium will be filled with song and dance as the Drama Club presents Hello, Dolly on March 30, 31, and April 1. Based on the 1964 musical, the play follows Dolly Levi’s adventures as she tries to arrange love in the Big Apple.

Bishop Carroll Participates in National Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Around the Country Celebrate Community January 29–February 4

National Catholic Schools Week began in 1974 and is now held in late January each year. Every year holds true to a theme, with this year’s being “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service.” Schools around the country come together to celebrate with additional masses, open houses, and activities that reach and include the general community. Each day of the week recognizes a different facet of Catholic school life, from community service to family involvement.

Bishop Carroll Students Celebrate the Right to Life

High school students attend the Jan. 27 March for Life

Last month, Bishop Carroll students traveled near and far to attend the annual March for Life, either with their parishes to Washington, D.C., or with the high school itself to Saint Francis University. In order to involve more local community members, Saint Francis provides its own version of the event, so individuals can continue to stand up for the life of the unborn, while keeping costs and transportation difficulties at a minimum. All juniors attended the Saint Francis march.

Join Us in Welcoming Dan McMullen as Athletic Director

Teacher and Coach Brings Passion and Experience to New Role

Former athlete and coach and current teacher Daniel “Dan” McMullen is excited for the future of athletic competition BC. After teaching and coaching for several years at the school, this past September he was appointed as the new Athletic Director.

New Head Football Coach Sean Billings ’08 Aims to Put BC Football Back on the Map

Bishop Carroll is pleased to welcome the addition of new Head Football Coach Sean Billings to the staff. Billings has a long history with the school, graduating in 2008 and remaining an involved alum through present day. During his time at BC, Billings was an offensive/defensive lineman on the team and, shortly after graduation, began working as an assistant coach, in 2009. He held that title for seven years, before being promoted to his current role.

Chris Merlo ’99 Credits BC for Success in Business, Life

Highlighting the Value of a Catholic Education

Chris Merlo’s experience in the world of Catholic education has been a long and fulfilling road. He started out at Holy Name Elementary, before moving on to Bishop Carroll, before finally obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration at Saint Francis University.
