Alumni Profiles

Samuel Piccioni ’73

Samuel Piccioni ’73 has a long and rich history with Bishop Carroll that began in the fall of 1969 when he first arrived on campus at age 14. His son, Anthony, also attended Bishop Carroll and graduated in 2002. Sam served on the Board of Trustees for a few years up until 2014. Today he is co-chair of the annual golf tournament and also a member of the Committee for Bishop Carroll’s Our Tradition, Our Future Campaign.

When asked why he is so dedicated, Sam says that his fond memories of Bishop Carroll, along with the strong spiritual foundation he built there, inspire him to help create that same experience for current and future students.

Dandrea family

This is the case with the Dandrea family, which includes Raymond ’72, Richard ’73, Lea ’74, Robert (Bo) ’75, Joel ’78, Jack ’80, and Brenda ’84. In recalling their years at Bishop Carroll, many of the siblings echo that Bishop Carroll reinforced values they were learning at home: faith, discipline, honesty, and integrity.
