Our next Bishop Carroll News is in the works, and we want to hear where life has taken you! Tell us about your latest achievement or adventure and we’ll publish it in our spring issue. You can submit your update and photos here. We hope to hear from you!
In our last eletter, we told you about the vision of the seniors in AP Politics to refurbish the weight room and turn it into a health and wellness center that will benefit the entire school. You can be part of this exciting project with financial support or donations of new (or nearly new) equipment, or by sponsoring equipment purchases.
Thanks to you, our T-shirt sales have helped students get close to their goal. You can still help with your financial support or equipment donations.
We look forward to seeing the students work together to create the Student Health and Wellness Center to benefit the school. Stay tuned for updates as they progress on this project!

For Brian Dumm ’95, Sheetz was a big part of life when he was growing up in Ebensburg. “I’m a real Pennsylvania Sheetz Freak,” he says. He remembers shoveling snow for extra money as a kid, and looking forward to the goodies he could get at his local Sheetz. Now, as a musician, professional artist and art educator, Sheetz still comes to his rescue.
Brian tells us, “As a musician, Sheetz has saved my night countless times, but once in particular when I needed a 9-volt battery for a guitar pedal, Sheetz was close by and saved the show!”
Now a globally-published artist, Brian caught Sheetz Headquarters’ attention through his captivating illustrations, and they reached out to him to design a show-stopping design for their trucks. Featuring his signature bold, vibrant colors, he centered the illustration around a lighthouse, based on an ad he’d heard calling Sheetz a “beacon for daily life.”
Sheetz had always been exactly that for Brian, and he worked the symbolism into the piece, creating artwork that is distinctive and, as Sheetz says, “unmistakably awesome.”
“I truly hope folks will enjoy seeing these trucks rolling up and down the eastern part of the country,” he says.
You can see an interview with Brian here, and purchase a copy of his artwork here. When you buy Art Project Shwag from Sheetz, 100% of Shwag profits go to Sheetz for the Kidz. The Sheetz for the Kidz charity supports over 8,500 children every year. By purchasing Sheetz Art Project Shwag, you are directly helping underprivileged children and encouraging the talents of a fellow Husky!
