Support for students is important in the 2020-21 school year as we face lost donations from postponing several large events. Here’s a way you can help make sure BC starts fall 2020 strong.
With all the wonderful items donated to this year’s gala—and more items that you can donate now—BC will hold an online auction June 20-26. How you can help:
1-Donate items for auction! We are seeking donations of:
· Themed gift baskets, such as: spa/pampering (cosmetics and bath/beauty items), travel necessities (brand name bags, purses, wallets and accessories), at-home movie night (popcorn, snacks, blankets), outdoor fun for kids (sidewalk chalk, water toys, jump ropes, balls/bats/racquets), and picnic provisions (s’mores fixings, hot dog skewers, condiments, plates/napkins/cups/cutlery, table cloth).
· Small appliances for making fun foods or beverages at home, such as: a popcorn machine, bread maker, waffle iron, ice cream maker, coffee/espresso machine, smoothie blender, etc.
· Technology items like a tablet, e-reader, fitness tracker, etc.
· Gift cards for local restaurants, retail and grocery stores.
Items can be delivered directly to Bishop Carroll or dropped off before June 10. Please call the office at 472-7500 to set up your drop off time.
2-Plan to bid on items online on June 20-26! More details will be forthcoming via Facebook and email.
Many wonderful items are already here and ready for bid, including admission passes to amusement parks and museums, scholarships to Duquesne and Mount Aloysius, gift cards, hotel stays, cool technology and appliances, handmade items, and more.
Get your donation in by June 10, and set your calendar for June 20-26 to start bidding. Let’s show our students the power of the BC family!
