On March 23, 2022, Marion Center Bank presented Bishop Carroll Catholic School with a check for $60,000. The Bank was approved for tax credits under the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program for the 2021-2922 fiscal year. As part of the program, the Bank was approved to distribute funds to approved scholarship organizations.
“Bishop Carroll Catholic is truly appreciative of the support provided by Marion Center Bank. The funds provided through the EITC scholarship program will directly benefit families who are committed to Catholic education” Stephen Cotchen, Bishop Carroll Head of School, states.
EITC tax credits are awarded to eligible businesses (and individuals) contributing to a Scholarship Organization, an Educational Improvement Organization, and/or a Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization. Tax credits may be applied against the tax liability of a business for the tax year in which the contribution was made.
