LOGAN BEHE COMPLETES HIS EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT TO HELP FOSTER CHILDREN

Bishop Carroll is proud to have had many students achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, with the latest being Class of 2022 graduate Logan Behe.  Logan enlisted the help of the students and staff at Bishop Carroll to help him complete his project.

A Life Scout from Troop 2095 in Patton, Logan has been working diligently to achieve his Eagle Scout rank.  He achieved 45 merit badges and has been bestowed the honor of being accepted into the Order of The Arrow (the scouting version of the National Honor Society.)

Logan titled his project “Totes for Teens,” which provided duffle bags full of supplies to local teenage children who were entering the foster care system.  Items included toothbrushes, hairbrushes, school supplies, and other personal care items.  Logan explained the reason why he chose this project by saying, “I started this project after my family started fostering children, and I saw the need for our community.  Some children carry their supplies in garbage bags or have nothing at all when they enter foster care, and I wanted to help as many as I could make the transition easier."

Logan gathered donations from Subaru and Bishop Carroll.  After receiving items and cash donations, he sorted, labeled, and packed the duffle bags. His goal was to fill 15 bags but instead ended up with 20 completed bags and extra supplies for future bags to be assembled.

Logan adds, “I would like to thank the Bishop Carroll staff, students, and families for the generous monetary and supply donations.  I surpassed my goal and donated 20 completed duffle bags and extra supplies for future bags to Professional Family Care Services in Johnstown.  Thank you for supporting me with my project and helping our local foster children!”

We are proud of the work that Logan is doing for such a worthy cause!  Congratulations!
