For the 2022-2023 school year, the average financial aid package for those who applied for aid was around $3,200, which is a 43% discount on total tuition. That number fluctuates based on need, determined by the evaluation of applications by Simple Tuition Solutions, with a range of award amounts for the current school year between $250 and $5000. The financial aid application will be made available in January for the 2023-2024 school year. The average cost of attending a Catholic high school in America is over $16,000. Full tuition at Bishop Carroll is less than half of the national average, while still maintaining a high-quality education!
The application takes into account many factors and is similar to the FAFSA form completed for college financial aid. Bishop Carroll provides discounts for families that have multiple children at the school. At any time during the process, individuals are encouraged to contact Mrs. Weber for answers to questions and for assistance in completing the form.
Financial aid comes from various sources, including donations through the EITC/OSTC program, endowments, annual fund donations, and named scholarships. Funds through these sources are restricted for financial aid. The goal at Bishop Carroll is, and always will be, to make a Catholic education as affordable as possible to all who desire it. We anticipate a significantly larger amount of financial assistance available for the upcoming school year.
The cost is minimal to find out how much aid your family qualifies for at BCCHS. The application fee is a mere $25, which is payable to Simple Tuition Solutions upon submission of the online application.
Additionally, an education at Bishop Carroll can save families TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars in college tuition fees. With over 60 dual enrollment credits offered at around a 90% discount, students can graduate from BCCHS with a full year of college already completed at a fraction of the cost. Articulation Agreements with various Catholic colleges specifically for Bishop Carroll graduates make the investment even more impactful. The articulation agreements can be found on our website with the qualifications for each. The bottom line is, even if a family paid full tuition at Bishop Carroll for four years, they stand to potentially receive even more money back in college. In addition, BCCHS students who attend Admiral Peary Vo-Tech during their junior and senior years pay 50% tuition. Admiral Peary also has articulation agreements with trade schools for their students. Essentially, attending BCCHS will end up SAVING a family money!
Payment plans can also be flexible and individualized. Families can make one or two payments a year or pay monthly. Individual circumstances can be worked out by talking with the business office.
All families interested in financial aid are encouraged to complete the application when it is available to find out just how little it can cost you for a quality, faith-based education at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School!
