Bishop Carroll Catholic High School is proud to announce that Mrs. Erika Strittmatter has accepted the position as Head Coach of the Varsity and Junior Varsity Lady Huskies Basketball Team. Erika comes to Bishop Carroll with a decade of coaching experience with students of all ages, and has spent the last several at the varsity level.
Coach Strittmatter commented, “I am extremely thankful to Bishop Carroll Catholic High School for this amazing opportunity to continue coaching a sport I love. I am grateful to Penn Cambria for their constant support over the last ten years. I am very excited to start working with these wonderful student-athletes, and I cannot thank my family, friends, and mentors enough for always supporting me.”
Bishop Carroll Head of School Mr. Stephen Cotchen commented, “We are fortunate to have Erika Strittmatter become the next head coach of the storied Lady Huskies program. I have confidence in her to not only be a great role model and teacher for our student-athletes, but also guide them to great success on and off the court. On behalf of the entire Husky community, we welcome her and look forward to what she can accomplish with our team.”
The Lady Huskies compete in the very competitive Laurel Highlands Conference. Coach Strittmatter is looking forward to the season, adding, “We play in a tough conference with great opponents. We are looking forward to this opportunity to compete, grow the game, and learn valuable life lessons through this great sport.”
